Color OS 11 with Android 11 goes official. Detailed changelog inside

As expected and scheduled, Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has now taken the wraps off their new OS version. The latest iteration of their custom user interface on top of Android is called Color OS.

This year we get a new version of Color OS along with the latest edition of Android from Google. At present we have the latest version of Color OS as Color OS 7.2. But now with the latest update, the version goes to Color OS 11 which is a big jump from 7.2 to 11. The company made this move in order to make the naming easier and in sync with the latest version of Android for years.

What’s New:

The other features of Color OS 11 include an improved way of multitasking and switching between apps. 3 finger screenshot was already present in the Color OS but now we have 3 finger translation directly from Google Lens.

It also focuses on multitasking abilities in the Color OS. With Color OS 11, we get Flexdrop which allows us to resize any app into a floating window which will be helpful in multitasking and simultaneous works.

Super power-saving mode:

Superpower saving is a feature we see already available in the One UI from Samsung. But with Color OS 11, Oppo tries to bring similar features to their own devices. The company promises 90 Minutes of WhatsApp message and a 1-hour call on a 5% battery remaining.
