As we have already reported about Google releasing Android 11 Beta update, many other OEMs are adopting the same.
Now it’s time for OnePlus to go in the same direction. The company is coming up with an Android 11 Beta 1 update for the OnePlus 8 series. It is well known fact that the OnePlus 8 series includes the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. Both the above-mentioned devices are now getting the Android 11 Beta 1 update as Android 11 Developer Preview 1 update and that is also mentioned in a step by step guide by OnePlus.

What is Android 11 Developer Preview Program?
This build offers access to an early build of Android 11. It is targeted at early adopters and developers so that they can create and optimize apps for the platform as well as report early feedback. As it is still in an early stage of development, we do not recommend flashing this ROM if you have little experience in software development. Proceed at your discretion.
Known Issues
- All data will be cleared while flashing the build
- Face unlock is unavailable
- Google Assistant (“OK Google”) does not work
- Video calling does not work
- Certain UI screens look less than desirable
- Some apps may not function as expected
- System stability issues
