Google has finally released Android 11 for its Pixel devices, Its first time when Google released it directly, earlier Google used to showcase its next Android update in its Annual Google I/O event but cancelled the event this year due to COVID-19 pandemic.
In Android 11 Google focuses on three sections mainly i.e. People, Control and Privacy.
Talking about the new features provided by Google in Android 11.
Privacy:
In privacy, Google added new features which are already there in iOS. Google added One Time Permission feature in Android 11 which allows user to select “Only this Time” with which user can give permission of microphone, camera and location access to the Apps temporarily, adding to it, Google provides few more privacy features such as Permission auto-reset feature in which the permission given to any app will be automatically reset when the apps were not used since long and Google also restricts the apps to access the user’s location in the background.
Controls:
In Controls, Google focuses on the Payment method, Smart Home and many more controls. In Android 11 Google introduces media control features which help users in managing the output devices such as TVs, headphones or speakers just by long-pressing the power button of the smartphone.
People:
Making the conversation more user-centric, In Android 11, Google focuses on conversation notification which allows user to access all the notification from the multiple messaging apps installed in the device in a single notification space and also user can pin a conversation at top and get notified even in when DND mode is ON.
Google added a chat bubble feature just like Facebook messenger, pop out and gives users one-tap access to the conversation.
Google also improves its voice access and keyboard suggestion features to make it handier and user-centric.
